New year, old tradition – for the first entry in 2016 we would like to present another part of our campaign aimed at financial support for open source projects and organizations engaged in charity work. Dawid Jancen gets to make the first choices this year.
Dawid has decided to select proven solutions, just as he does in his work – his choice is to support the jQuery Foundation, which we have aided twice before, back in 2012 and 2014, along with the Animal Shelter in Tczew, also previously chosen exactly one year ago.
The jQuery Foundation looks after the development of a number of open source projects, mainly the jQuery library itself (which is probably known to everyone interested in web technologies), as well as a number of others, such as QUnit and Esprima. We are always glad to contribute to this initiative, and want to thank all those involved in the Foundation’s activities.
For the past eight years the Animal Shelter in Tczew has been operating as part of the National Society for the Protection of Animals: “OTOZ Animals”. Our assistance is provided for a specific purpose – to rescue a dog called Diego, who was on the verge of exhaustion due to the actions of a heartless and reckless owner. Fortunately Diego is now in good hands and is recovering. We wish him a quick return to health, and thank all the staff and volunteers of the shelter for their work and care for the animals.
