This is the last edition of the year for our initiative supporting open source projects and people in need. The one who got to select this month’s beneficiaries was Krzysztof Lipiec, a programmer from our Łódź team.
Krzysztof decided that the open source project most deserving of our support is Firebug – a set of developer tools for the Firefox browser. First released in January 2006, and so soon to celebrate its 10th anniversary, it has been actively developed over the years so that today it is one of the most popular browser add-ons used by programmers. Krzysztof and other Web developers on our team can confirm this, as they use Firebug in their work on a regular basis. We would like to take this opportunity to give our best wishes for Firebug’s anniversary, and also to wish its creators good luck with further development of the project.
We are also supporting Children’s Home No. 2 in Łódź, which was founded in 1988 in the district of Bałuty on the outskirts of the city, and which today provides care for more than twenty children. We send our heartfelt greetings to the employees, volunteers and, last but not least, all the children of Children’s Home No. 2.
(By the way, we would like to make a little announcement: although this is the last time this year we are giving financial support for the needy, we plan to carry out a certain charitable project to keep up with the Christmas tradition – we will share more details soon.)
